Ambassador Jabril attended a farewell ceremony for Somali students who received scholarships from Japan.

The Ambassador of Somalia to Kenya Mr. Jabril Ibrahim Abdulle participated in a ceremony held for Somali students who won a scholarship offered by Japan to Somalia.

These students who will study the different languages taught in universities in Japan are expected to play an important role in the development of the country and the Somali people when they return to Somalia.

Ambassador Jabril expressed his gratitude to the Japanese government for this timely scholarship for Somali students. Speaking at the ceremony, the ambassador said, “This scholarship reflects Japan’s unwavering commitment to supporting projects in Somalia, and we sincerely thank you for this invaluable support.”

In recent years, Japan has been one of Somalia’s most important partners in supporting Somalia’s development projects. Through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), There are many projects going on in Somalia that contribute greatly to the development of the country.

Japan’s commitment to our development is not only a reflection of the diplomatic relationship between the two countries, but also the strong historical ties that bind the two countries together.

The relationship between the two countries has been strengthened by the visits of our presidents to Japan and other officials, and this shows how both countries are committed to strengthening bilateral relations. Ambassador Jabril said that he is confident that the students who will study in Japan will participate in the reconstruction and development of Somalia when they return to their motherland.

This scholarship program will truly open doors for our students and provide access to endless opportunities for our students. Scholarships in Somalia, which were previously suspended during the civil war, have resumed. The Embassy of Somalia in Nairobi has accelerated the return of those important donations for the development of Somalia.
